Annual Fund

Gifts to the Annual Fund support and enhance the operating budget, since tuition revenues cover only 87% of the actual cost of each child's education.  Your gift expresses your belief in the importance of a Canterbury education.

As an independent school, Canterbury receives no outside subsidies to offset expenses. The Annual Fund is the fund-raising priority for the school community, and each gift is fully tax-deductible.

We hope that every member of our community will participate - parents, grandparents, alumni, staff and trustees.  Contributions of any size are deeply appreciated and necessary as we seek other sources of funding.  Foundations and corporations often use participation levels as criteria for awarding grants to schools.

Heritage Society

Individuals who include Canterbury in their wills have made a commitment to the school's mission and future generations.  There is special recognition for these benefactors as members of the Heritage Society.

For information on how to make a bequest to the school, donors should contact their financial advisors and notify the Advancement Office so that Canterbury may appropriately recognize this generosity.

Alumni Fund

The Class of 2005 established this fund as the senior class gift to ensure that every student can enjoy the full range of Canterbury activities. Awards will be made to upper school students on the basis of need to cover class trips, athletic expenses or fees for any co-curricular activity.
