Technology
Canterbury believes all students in prekindergarten through grade 12 should be given proper tools for success today and into the future. Technology is a hands-on means to ensure this success.
On both campuses, a local area network, computer labs and multimedia equipment such as interactive whiteboards, digital presenters and projectors, provide students and faculty multiple resources that create a global learning environment.
The focus of the computer curriculum is to provide students with skills that will help them as they journey to college and into their careers of choice. Whether a fourth grade student giving a PowerPoint presentation for social science, a teacher using an interactive whiteboard to lead a classroom discussion or a junior projecting an image on the microscope to share with the rest of the class, technology strengthens the quality of a Canterbury education.
To communicate with the school community, Canterbury uses Edline, a national server-based program for students and parents to access homework assignments, test schedules, team practices, theater rehearsals and other postings by faculty and coaches. In addition, Canterbury uses the website calendar and events sections to share timely information. An electronic mail option will be added this year to send lower, middle or upper school news and the all-school newsletter.
