After School
To help meet the needs of our families, Canterbury offers supervised after-school care for students in prekindergarten through grade 8 who are not involved in other school-sponsored activities. Lower school students also enjoy an enrichment program and Study Assistance Time for grades 3 and 4. Each of these services is optional and fee-based.
After Care
This supervised program is available every full day that school is in session. Younger children may do a craft, complete homework, have a snack and enjoy the playground until 6:00 p.m. on the Hough Campus. Older students can socialize, play board games or work on assignments until 5:30 p.m. on the Knowlton Campus.
Coordinate Program
The Hough Campus also offers an after-school Coordinate Program designed to provide additional enrichment opportunities for younger students. Previous courses have included yoga, dance, jewelry-making, soccer, "Mad Science," drama, ceramics, computers and etiquette. Courses vary in length from one to eight weeks and may be taught by Canterbury faculty as well as instructors from local organizations such as American Stage Theatre Company, Kidz Art and Movement Gallery.
H.A.T.
Homework Assistance Time (H.A.T.) is offered Mondays - Thursdays after school to students in grades 3 and 4 at no additional after-care charge. This program provides supervised study time staffed by lower school faculty.
